Ok...

What have you noticed or learned about being female and riding (in any style)

Personally I have come to terms with the fact that although I will be accepted as a rider, I wont be AS accepted as a rider as other guys.

I've also found that guys think I dont know diddly about bikes since I dont have one.
(yeah shove that, I know a lot of people that HAVE bikes and dont know squat cept how to keep it balanced while its moving)

Also I have seen - but HAAAAAAATE - that SOME guys think that pretty much any girl into bikes is just into it for sex or guys. Meaning they see us ALL as curb monkeys, snail trails, bike ho's w/e u wanna call em. This one ticks me off to no end. Yeah I'm a female & I like sex and prefer that a guy I date either ride, know how to ride, or be extremely understanding of my obsession (bc well its an obsession, I talk about it a lot...Ive lost friends bc of how addicted I am haha). This doesnt mean I go out there trolling for guys who ride or dismiss a guy if he doesnt ride or go after a guy if he has a hot bike.

Altho I hate these things, I sit back and remind myself that they dont know me. And that if they did know me, they wouldnt have these assumptions of me. Oh yeah and how I cant wait till I own their ass on the track one day.
Thats when I feel better.

Well usually its due to that because thats what other females do. All you can do is forge a way to do your own thing and strive to not be like that. Do you think its easy to be male and talk to ladies. When you have a bike it only means one thing..It sucks to be male too.

oh im sure. The "boys & toys" thing.
I dunno personally I judge a person by who they are, not what or how they ride or even their gender.

ya know...more people need to be like me!!
(joking but somewhat truthin in the fact that ppl should be more accepting)

I don't really look at it like I'm a chic on a bike until someone flames me for riding what I ride.

Yes I'm a girl, yes I ride a litre bike and yes I can handle my litre bike. I own it, it doesn't own me.

I've heard so many comments from guys and women alike that criticize me because I ride a litre bike and "you can't handle a bike that big"

I pay no attn to the guys that get all wooded up seein 'a chic on a crotch rocket' they are not important to me. I have my man, luckily for me he rides too so that's all I need.

yeah I can understand bout the "big bike" thing.
I know a cpl girls out in Jersey that learned how to ride from friends...
On Busas.
Imagine how much crap they got (get) for riding a busa and being teeny tiny little petite girls.

Before I talked to them I always thought it was stupid to start on anything over 80hp when honing your skills.
They showed me you can ride anything but it depends on how mature and respectful you are of the bike and its power.

Very true words. Sadly its the dumb ppl er uneducated ppl that ride the biggest bike that they can get and then they end up wadding themselves and the bikes up. Ive seen R1Gurl ride an di know for a fact that she can handle it. We have ridden together on a few occasions and she holds her own..So it can be done. Just cuz the throttle goes all the way back dont mean it should.
