I have to give PG credit...we had an excellent ride for 2 up.
Knee dragging will come in time. And you can take it slow and with all the cops there now you have no choice LOL

Yea, really sucks on the crack-down up there.

This past June was our 4 annual Deals Gap trip so I've been there quite a bit. There are some "other good riding roads" LOL in the area, which is what we did for the most part to avoid the traffic and po po's. Since those few deaths in the last 1-2 months they've cracked down even worse and if it's that way next June I don't think I'm going to go. :not_i:

Was just there this past weekend for the Women's Sport Bike Rally. There were about 50 ladies that attended. Great time! I love that area and have been there about 10 times. There are plenty of other great roads there besides the "dragon" so I have no problems waiting for the police presence to die down.

i want hit this run up once or twice... another good one if you guys get a chance is tahoe... no to mention a few passes all around there to get you heart going... vc trucker run.. high way 50 east and west side of tahoe... mount rose.. and i cant remember the name of the other one that takes you to tahoe from carson city... o yeah i many stunt but back home you cant not ride the corners... you are surounded by mountains...

We went back this year as well but decided not to ride the Gap due to lots of rain! Although we had some friends that were with us and they rode it on one of our off days .... We did ride the Cherohala skyway this year some of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and took an awesome trip up to Hot Springs and LOTS of other roads that were PERFECT twisties! We had lots of rain so mostly we weren't able to ride the roads like we wanted but managed to get a few good runs in here and there. Hubby and I are planning on taking a four day weekend sometime in early Novemeber to hit the Gap Im excited.

My husband did on his Honda CBR1000RR
He actaully went out for a "ride" through north georgia while my mom was in town...he wanted an excuse to get out of the house I think. lol

He ended up back home around 8 in the evening.
Curious as to where he went because he was soaking wet he said he just kept driving and ended up at the Dragons tail. I was a bit pissed at first becuase we made an agreement to go...but together since so many people have accidents up there, sometimes not to their own accord...but to other idiot car drivers up there.
So, I made him promise we will go back together one weekend.

It's one of the places I'd like to go, but I'm not sure when I'll get the chance. My race car takes up so much of my free time I don't even get to ride enough locally :(
