Oddly enough, a few of you have called or txt me with stories of your gloves getting "crunchy" "hard" and "funky" if I recall properly.
When you're gloves do this, you will also notice white stains on them...(get your minds out of the gutters you dirty girls...and topgun) These stains are from the salts, oils and acids in your body.
I send off my race suit. But here's what I do for my gloves.
1st, left your gloves dry out after you ride. Store them some place where they can get lots of fresh air. I fill the sink with cool water and let them chill in there for about an hour.
Then, I empty the sink and fill it back up with hand soapy cool water...a couple of squirts should do. Make sure the soap is diluted well then drop in the gloves, let them soak for another 30 minutes or so, come post in the forum, then check them out...slosh them around, put the gloves on your hands under the water, work the water in and out but don't "ring" the gloves...you can squeeze your fists but gently...do this until you're sure there's no more soap on your leather gloves.
Remember, don't ring them out or twist them...but you can gently squeeze some water out, then I lay them out on a towel, continue turning them over from time to time...it will probably take a few days for them to dry...stop by between posts and put them on so they can remember the curves of your beautiful hands.
Once they're dry, I spray the crap out of them with Lexal Leather preservative (orange bottle)...then put them on and pretend you're rubbing bath and body works lotion on your hands before you go to bed. Do this many many times...the more you do this, the softer they'll feel.
If this doesn't make you're glove feel incredibly better, I will 100% refund your time spent reading this post with a silly youtube video of some sort.
