So thanks to a tip from Love I ordered my pig tails for my helmet. I've never gotten so many looks, thumbs ups and odd comments in all my life.

these things are great and they stayed on at over 100 mph last night! Good Stuff!

Leah, those are awesome. Its also the exact same colors that I want. The black with red highlights which will also match my helmet. Hmn, might have to make that call today to see if I can have them before the rally.

OK...as promised. Mine looks like real hair and much thicker but I haven't gotten complete coverage yet. I can easily remove the scrunchie and put more paint on. But so far here is what I have.

In ^^^ you can see where the paint hasn't stuck well.

And you can see how thick this is. Also, Vickie's are shinier. I don't know what she is using for hair or if she is using dye. The lady at Michaels told me that dye may not hold to the synthetic material.

Can't wait to get mine. Vickie was going to mail them out either yesterday or today.

Mine will be the same color as Leah's - the black with crayon red highlights. She's also putting in a few white streaks to match my helmet. I chose the boa, so she's using the red boa that has little black tips.

I sent her a picture of my helmet and she suggested the white streaks and the red boa with black tips.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I hope it gets here before Friday evening.

Yup, I sent her a photo of my helmet and she suggested adding in the white stripes too. I need to brush them out when I get home and make them pretty. Might wear them riding to work tomorrow, we'll see. One is a little flat right now, but brushing it might make it good. It got a bit squished during shipping.

Ok, didn't wear mine in today. They came off of the helmet last night while sitting on the shelf, so I didn't want to chance anything by wearing them riding in to work. I'll play with them some more tonight to see what I can do to make sure they don't come off while riding.

Not sure if the furballs in the house hand anything to do with them coming off, or if they came of by themselves.

i haven't had any problem with my mohawk staying on...Maybe it's the brand??

I did and they stuck pretty good. They even passed the 100 mph test ;)

I only had one fall off the day of the charity ride but I think it was hugely due to me slapping the side of my helmet and knocking it off. Luckily Yoyo's hubby Rob found it and I got it back.

You just have to really make sure you get it on there pretty good and then don't mess with it.

he he he...I dont want to do that with my Scorpion...I have an old KBC helmet that we tried to use velcro with the mohawk and going over 100 mph that sucker blew right off so we used that Gorilla glue and it seems to work really well...the velcro stays together its just the mohawk wasnt sticking to the sticky side of the velcro and thats what I glued...

Actually, my Suomy is still quite lite with the piggies on. It does have a lot of drag though, especially in windy conditions like on 441 Tuesday! I definitely would take them off for track!

My Icon isnt that heavy...i haven't had any problems with it....But, every helmet fits differently....I loved the scorpians, but they wern't comfy for me...the Arai's too....

I can't count how many times people have commented on them. I am always seen, although sometimes I think it may be a bad thing. I swear there's gonna be an accident from people staring at me while I'm at a light or even riding!

Also, it makes you stand out for uhm...certain officials to reconize you!

I love them though. One of the piggies did fall off in the house last week so since I really don't care about the helmet and planned on getting a new one I superglued them on.

Oh I'm getting a new helmet but not putting them on...a decent helmet...I know Suomy is suppose to be good but it doesn't fit right cuz apparently you're suppose to have an "egg shaped head" which I don't and the vent covers came off within a month of me having the flipping thing! grrrrr...

My helmet is gloss and I have now superglued. One of the piggies fell off while hangin on my coat rack. I don't give a poo about the helmet cuz I want a Flutter (Shoei) so I said e scrrrrew it.

I can tell you from experience, people will talk to you! I get approached all the time, at lights, the gas station, out with friends...you have something you feel confident in and you will be more comfortable talking to people!

He felt real stupid when I took the helmet off and he say my very short brown hair underneath it :) My ponytails are pitch black with candy cane red and white highlights.

just got back from Biketoberfest in Daytona...people LOVED it. I had people run up to me and ask to have their picture taken with me...take my picture from the sidewalk, etc. It was great.

I made mine though...we found the lady on ebay I think.

her helmet is quite over the top.. but then again, so is she. There was a reason she did it like that, but I don't remember. But, yeah, if anyone is interested in something like those piggz, I'm your go-to girl.

They're made a bit cleaner looking than the other ones I've seen on the market.. oh, and he have mohawks too.. but they're not half helmet like the other ones.. they cover the full helmet! :happy:

I like mine better than the ones we found on the internet too...they are more full, looks more realistic. I use synthetic hair from Sally Beauty supply.

I don't have the desire to make em myself to sell right now. Too much going on with our business. Maybe when we slow down I'll take a few orders ;)

lol... opinions are like assholes..everyone (including you) has one. I'm not stopping anyone from wearing them, i don't see anywhere in my post that says that. They obviously don't do anything for me, as i don't need to market myself to cagers or other riders that i'm a girl on a bike. :sbg:

^^That's funny! I think they are hilariously cute...but don't think I would want to put them on my X11 helmet. Another helmet on certain occassions, what the hell - it's fun! You go gurls!!!!! :fans:

Yoyo and Love glued theirs on. Mine has suction cups, so I mostly ride with it off since I do a lot of highway riding to and from work. My helmet has a matte finish - so too much wind resistance and they go flying.

I actually had someone stop me at Daytona this week to try n pull...he asked if it would hurt...told him it might hurt him...

I have a gloss helmet that I am not thrilled with. The suction cups worked much better then they do on the matte but sitting at home they'd fall off and my kitten would grab them and take off. Since I hate the helmet and want to get the Shoei Flutter I said screw it and glued em on.

Keep in mind they add drag for sure! I do love them though. They are fun and people do see me. Like I said Im more concerned that they stare.

no we didn't but it is hysterical. She meows and runs around with it in her mouth under her belly. She does it with one of those static dusters too.
