if ANYONE knows how to turbocharge a bike, or more to the point, adapt the fuel system (carby) to work in conjuntion with a turbocharger, i would really like to hear about it.

im not really interested in a draw thru setup, but blow thru. and i know the fuel bowl needs to be pressureized. i'd just like to hear if someone has done it, or knows of where i could find more details on it.
any help would be appreciated.. thanks!

what kinda bike are you running? there are quite a few guys on the gixxer.com board that are boosted. also, walt on the redline board has a few older carbed bikes that are boosted as well. the blade is his s/n on redlinesuperbikes.com. im sure if you send him a pm he will be more than happy to help you out in everything you need to hear the sweet sounds of swoosh!!

I would think it'd be easier to find suitable carbies and adapt them, rather than use your existing ones mate. Blow through is a bitch, AFAIK.

Reading from your thread about your old bunky bike you have, sounds like it wouldn't last long with a turbo anyway. If you're not interested in serious longevity, ever thought about running nitrous instead? Probably a lot less work.

its an older model XJ900, but i'm more likely to try it on my pitpro 1st.
I'd like to do it on the XJ and see how long it lasts. its more to see if i can pull it off (so to speak) rather than an all-out-powerhouse-ultra-reliable bike. and for $300 for a complete engine, its not the end of the earth should i melt a piston. although the bikes reliable, shes due to be replaced anyways..

thanks for the tips though, will check them out!

well i got the lil 140cc pitpro running with a 30mm draw thru setup. she made 5psi the other night. but it's in the shop to be tuned properly.
spools up quick and shifts into boost too, so not laggy at all.
