View Full Version : "Home"
What makes a forum home? A place that you enjoy posting? The People? The quality of the threads? Is this your forum home? Why do you like it here? Or do you prefer an On Topic forum without the frills? Just want to hear from the members what they think and prefer!

It's a combination of things... it's fun personalities, a warm/open feel (as in, cool to newbies, lack of attitude/elitism), and a good combination of both on and off topic posts.
"Home" is actually one of my local forums, just because it's the first forum I ever joined, and I actually KNOW the majority of the people on it, have hung out with many of them, see them at bike nights, have ridden with them, and am close friends with several of them (it's also the parent forum of the one Chris and I met on).

I consider here my "home" forum. I belong to another forum that never gave me the "welcome" I got from the members here. I like all threads, on and off topic.

I consider my forum "home" jjtalk. I am a practioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that's how I started posting on any forums. Then after I was fully additcted to posting I saw some others. None other has been quite like this though.
I love sportbike gurls. There are 2 passions. Motorcycles and Jiu Jitsu (ok 3 MMA).
THANK GOD I finally found YOU I have looked long and hard for sportbike FEMALE riders that RIDE. Then for everyone to be so "nice" it's great.
I like posting you meet a lot of people across the country, you can share your thoughts about riding or training in jj. etc, etc.
This is still my "home" :D

this is my home page and where i choose to spend most of my postwhoring moments. I guess I just feel comfy here, and can be silly and stupid and noone jumps down my throat. Great ppl, fun place, very active forum. I don't think that you have as much activity if you keep it 100% about bikes/riding.

This is the only forum I visit now! I'm on it all day long and most of the night too. I get no work done while at work...and my house is becoming cluttered because I choose to post-whore instead of tidying up! LOL. So, YES, this is my home now. :yahoo:
The people on this forum are amazing, the girls are beautiful, sassy, funny, and the guys are fantastic too. I enjoy the mix of both on topic information as well as the off topic subjects. Mostly I love finding a place where I can talk to other girls that ride sportbikes...there are none around me where I live, I have no one to ride with except my husband and his brothers and friends...I'm the only girl...which is fine, but once in a while you want to just go out with your girlie friends on your bike!
Forums like this create lifelong friendships and relationships that some people don't understand. I'm constantly being asked time and time again, why I ride a motorcycle...like I said, people just don't understand. That is why I'm here and here is where I'll stay, until I'm asked to leave...

This forum is it...I have posted in Myspace but it's not active and the attitude is beyond control.
I am pretty new at riding and hadn't started learning about my bike n its mechanics when this guy on myspace totally ripped me a new one because I brought my bike to a shop for something. I felt like shit.
There is none of that here. People help when you are looking for it not ridicule or belittle.
Big love for all the girlies n boys on SBG!!!!

I guess this is my home forum. I don't post anywhere else but here. I guess I just haven't found anyother one that is anywhere near as interesting. The guys are cool, the girls are hot, the mods rock, and the topics are always entertaining. :ok:
