ok, this is a basic DIY for changing the front brake pads.
unbolt the front calipers from the fork housing
remove the 2 pad pins (if so equipped) and slide the pads out.
replace with the new pads.
put pad retaining pins back in place.
reinstall caliper and torque to proper specs.
do the same for the other side
using a scouring pad or some 2000 grit sand paper, scuff the rotors in preperation for the new pads. do not scuff all the way around. scuff from the inside to the outside. or scuff like an X. do this to both rotors and both sides of the rotors. now its time to "BED" the new pads in. just like in a car, you need to heat cycle the new pads so they perform like they should. if you do not do this, you can permanetly damage the pads and they wont work as well as they should.
bedding process:
do this in an OPEN parking lot where there are NO cars or people.
10mph to hard stop
25mph to hard stop
45mph to hard stop
60mph to hard stop
then park over night.
this gently biulds heat into the pads and seats them well to the rotors.
