Yeah, I've seen a few here around Ripon. Always riding the opposite direction of me, so It's hard to stop & talk to them. I never see them riding with anyone either, loners. Yeah I generally am too at the time. But most of my leasure rides are with a pack of guys. "no offense to the men of course". But it would be great to meet more local woman to ride with. I know you know that.

Perhaps I should of specified that meeting male or females riders in the area is always welcome.

I'm not from Wisconsin,* I live in the western 'burbs of Mpls... but without question Wisconsin is my absolute favorite place to ride. I try to get over there once a month during the riding season. I don't know where you live but if you ever get a chance to ride on Wisconsin Hwy 35 along the Mississippi river between LaCrosse and Prescott I highly recommend it. Just get of 35 on pretty much any of the alphabet roads and you'll find the closest thing we have to canyon riding. Just watch out for deer and loose gravel!

Thank you for the suggestion, I can see definatley checking out alot more places in Wisconsin to ride. Next season is a planned trip to Mount Rushmore. That should be interesting and full of nice scenery

Definately a thanks on the hint for a different road to ride on. I've always wanted to get over that way, the farthest I've been is Ontario, Wi.

Hello,

I enjoy riding through the upper penninsula of MI which borders northern WI, especially in the spring and summer.

Mike

We haven't made it up North quite yet. Furthest we've been is Wildcat Mountain, which my husband says is more intimidating than Deals Gap cause the curves are much sharper.

I'm from Southeast WI.... Milwaukee, to be exact.

I ride with a pretty spread out group (well, I'm a passenger , for the time being)

The local forum that we use to set up rides and events, etc is www.all-out-motorsports.com ("http://www.all-out-motorsports.com)

Our first "official" ride will be the 13th of April, I think it's a sunday, and we're heading to Madison.

who's game?

No, Im not aware of that one...you got more info? I was working a 2nd shift job for a while, which made it hard to make it out to any rides. I have a free schedule now. Been to Two Wheeled Tuesday's at Culvers. :)

not to redirect you to another forum, but all the info is right here.. http://all-out-motorsports.com

I'm looking for the exact thread, but since you're in the Milwaukee area, this would be a great resource for you. It's completely local, it's where a bunch of people come to set up rides and stuff. There's a buncha stuff happening this weekend.. including a ride to the S.W. part of the state, one down to IL, and a lot run.

It'd be great to see you out and about.

So here's the update again, for those that didn't see it or don't wanna read 33 pages lol

Tomorrow (wednesday), we'll meet at BFS (Brookfield Square). This will be so we can rally all the troops and let everybody know where the ride will be held next week.

Next week wednesday, we'll be back over at RIDE. People usually start arriving at 7pm and we take off around 8pm.

I am in the Pewaukee area, and tend to ride through the south kettle moraine and up around Holy Hill. I know the roads west of Madison are incredible, but an old back injury prevents me from making it there on my bike. Bummer.

HI!! Too bad about the back injury, cause yeah we have some pretty good roads up here and in Oct the first sunday is the Crud run... The last stop of the crud run is at Leland, Wi and then everyone goes and hits the twisties..

Nope. I have never heard of Wildcat Mt. The farthest I have been on my bike is Green Bay. I was there for some training for my job spring of '07.

Well, I never made a serious try to make it out there. All the effort, just to ride by myself never seemed worth it. I have seen single bike rigs that work with a trailer hitch, but the car I have had is just not one that you can put a trailer hitch on. I should have a new car in a couple of weeks, that might be able to have a hitch. A few hundred dollars and suddenly, west of Madison and track days at Road Amercia could be within reach. Oh joy!

I used to drive out to Lansing a couple of times a year, so I remember the fun roads out that way well. Especially as you get closer to the river. I have always had fast cars, so at least I have had some fun. Still it is never the same.
