From my experience for looking for motorcycles on almost every website there is. I found a couple bikes that are pretty nice looking and are good for newbs like me!
Yamaha ('86-87, I think) fzr 250 mainly sold in japan and euro countries.

Yamaha '89 Fzr 400 also sold in japan and canada etc,.

Honda cbr 250r Hurricane Very rare and sold in japan and Euro countries, I have found some in Canada and US too tho.

CBR 250rr Fireblade Late '80s, Early 90's sold in Japan etc,.

I have found these bikes on Ebay and auto/cycle trader websites. They do show up just seem to be more rare then any gixxer!
Anyone else got anything else to share either then ninja 250's! :)

I too am looking for a bike where my feet can touch the ground.
Hyosung makes a 250 which looks nicer than the ninja
