I was feeling the bike a little different when riding so I took it to my friend that is a tech at my old job. He told me the steering stem was loose. What could have caused that? I asked another rider and he said it could be because it is lowered so much. He also said I should look at the shocks because it might be time for new ones. Since the bike is lowered the shocks get more wear and tear than if the bike was raised to its regular height.

Does anyone have any input on this issue?

dunno about more wear n tear, but lowered it would either bottom out more and just not have full travel. The steering head may got loose from either the bearings wearing, or someone didnt tighten the triples up to spec. I'd get the bearings check n see if they can just be repacked with grease and then tightened to spec or if they need replaced.

Good :drinks:

Yeah I could kinda tell when I kept trying to tell them what was wrong and they wanted to do a service on it. What the hell does that have to do with something being wrong with my steering. They were tring to charge me like 200 to look at it and change the oil and replace coolant.

I told them I can do that myself dont touch it. They knocked off 50 bucks. Even tough I was telling them I new what was wrong.

Another question can they over tighten the steering stem?

yes and would cause premature wear. But would feel awful tight at first if that was done. They would really have to gorilla it to over tighten it.
