I walked up to her and asker her if her bike was fast. Then i asked a bunch of questions that didn't make any sense about her bike, like "Is that a V8?"

Try to stay with me...this may get confusing...
When I was 17 (Feb of 2003)...My two girl friends and I were suppose to spend the weekend in Pismo Beach. We were staying at a friend of a friend's house...my one friend got us kicked out...so instead of driving back home (San Jose at the time) we drove south to Santa Barbara because my sister and some friends lived there. We could not get a hold of my sister so my other friend called the guy that used to live down the street from her (he graduated the same year as my sister, 2001, and moved to Santa Barbara for school.) So we showed up at this guys house and, long story short, I ended up marrying his roommate December 17th, 2006.

Great question Im sure there will be many different answers heres mine
First met in 87 when hubby (Steve) was working w/ his dad to clear my parents recently purchased property. I was 12 and that would of made him 16 never really thought of him in "that way" at the time. Ran into him at the feed store he worked at over the next couple of years and thought he was the cute guy at the feed store thing but again he was older and I was never on his radar....fastforward a few years --- I had an extra ticket to a concert my friend backed out at the last minute (lunchtime) a girl I worked w/ said she knew someone who wanted to go blah blah blah found out it was Steve and I thought wow have him pick me up at 7. He picked me up that night and we've been together ever since! And the funny thing is he still hasn't "Paid" me for that ticket!

ok so we all know I am the single broad but I cant get enough of telling this story about me and my ex.
I got this msg on myspace from this one guy who had some grainy pics and none w/o sunglasses and he said he saw me at Denny's one night with a couple of my friends. I honestly thought it was creepy and some cop out way to try and hit on me. Well he just finished taking his MSF course and got a kawi 500ltd and my interest in motorcycles was perked not too long before he msgd me so I was like "Cool someone to learn about bikes from!" Eh so we end up chatting more and talking in txt msgs and myspace for about 5 or 6 months, never met mainly bc of his work schedule.
So one night im up late and we end up talking about meeting over coffee. We go to McCoys - a 24 hr diner - and meet up at like midnight. He comes up on his bike and takes off his helmet....Now mind you I came there thinking "Im single, and hey he might be good looking, he looks like maybe".......Yeah no that helmet came off and my brain said sternly "NOPE! DEFINITELY NOT boyfriend material" We got there at midnight and didnt leave till about 4 in the morning...and we didnt even notice the time.
Bout a week or two later - after hanging out with him probably about every other day/night doing various things like watching movies or playing video games - We are at his apt drining and watching a movie and we get up for him to have a smoke, go outside & while he smokes I take some pics of him just being drunk taking pics. We go back inside and he has a foldable couch - NOT A FUTON - it was able to recline or be a couch or a bed. We fold it out and I lay sideways and watch the movie. He lays behind me...I was like "ok weird" but I knew he was a gentleman and wouldnt try anything...
Well he did.
He lightly kissed my nack and I was done for.
Great guy, great humor, smart, but he wasnt the prettiest guy I ever dated. Definitely a nice guy type. I enjoyed our relationship but it wasn't ment to be and it soon ran its course. We ended it mutually being unhappy but still are friends and I mean real friends. like I can call him to bail me out of jail type friend.
He taught me a lot about relationships...
Of course the main one being to take chances and enjoy what you got while you got it.

I was just getting into YSR racing myself - always just played pitbitch to a few friends who raced both big bikes and YSRs. After one of the races, everybody was going back and forth about the past weekends races on the e-mail list we had going on. All of a sudden I get this e-mail from one of the guys in the club. He's asking me all these questions about myself and I figured sure, I'm bored, I'll play along. We talked on-line and on the phone for about three months before we finally met face to face again. He had been begging to come down to Virginia to meet me for dinner or whatever, but I was going through some stuff with my ex and just didn't want to deal with it. We finally did meet at the last race of the year in NY and have been together ever since . . . October 9th will be 7 years.
He finally broke down and proposed to me in January of this year.:in_love: I was visiting my mom in South Africa and on my last night there, he and my mom were texting back and forth. I was finally clued in later that night when my mom called in me in to the one room and told me the phone was for me . . . he and my mom had been talking and he had asked her permission to ask me to marry him. So, when I finally got on the phone, he proposed to me.

Well I really started looking for him when my ex husband was telling me about a bike he had seen... A Buell XB12s Black with Amber colored wheels.... he said the thing was awesome and kept asking me if I had seen it ... Finally I did see it. And it was awesome ...I fell in love with it ... I still never spoke to the owner though, we had seen each other around and knew some of the same people. He seen my myspace page on a friend that we both knew and wanted to add me so I did. My myspace is Don'tridenaked , so his first comment was what do you have against people riding naked so I told him bones are not nice to look at . He sends me a message back saying that he thought I meant naked bikes . So we just messaged each other here and there. Well the guy I was dating didn't like me talking to him on myspace or really anyone for that matter so I stopped talking to him. A few months went by and things between the guy I was dating and I started really going down hill but that is a whole different story and what a story it is still catching crap from it.... geez but anyways I seen the guy on the Buell at Shady Valley Country Store and if any one has ever rode 421 in TN then you most likely stopped at this store. But anyways my friend and I had just pulled in and was going into the store and he and a friend of his had just filled their bikes up and was coming in and I seen him and said you must be Jason and he said hi and then they left ... A few months went by and I started talking to him again on myspace and was telling him about riding a bunch of different bikes and he told me I could ride his once he got his all back together from doing a bunch of stuff to it . So then Spring of this year rolled around and he got his bike back together. My friend and I was at Shady and he pulls in we talked for a little bit and I said so you gonna let me ride it and he said yes so I let him ride mine ( I had just got my GSX-R 750 ) so we took off , rode a short distance and came back to the store. I abslutely loved riding the Buell , was like no other bike I had ever rode before was kinda like a go kart with two wheels. Told my now ex boyfriend whom I was dating at the time about meeting Jason and riding the Buell and just going crazy over the bike .. he didn't really think any thing of it which there was really nothing for him to be thinking anyways. So another month or so went by and my now ex started getting even more stupid about things and really possessive... sends me an e-mail saying that he thought we needed time apart , which just piss me off so I told him he could have all the time he wanted cause I was done with it. He had played too many mind games and crap with me so I told him bye... well he didn't get the response out of me he was hoping for ( he thought I would start crying and begging him not to do that like i had done in the past) well a person can only take so much of the crap like I had to deal with , so then he starts saying that he don't want to split up and I was like too bad , so he is saying take some time so i was like whatever so I started taking my time and doing what i wanted to do ... anyways Jason and I was talking and I had told him about some of the stupid stuff that my ex was doing ang just things like that... well I wanted to take the fairings off my bike so I could clean it , so I called Jason and ask him if he wanted to come over and help me take the fairing off the bike so he did ... we stayed up all night in my garage removing fairings ,cleaning and putting the bike back together... It took forever because neither one of us had took fairings off a bike before ... he works on Harleys and Buells ... anyways we both could feel some sparks from that nite we just didn't say anything about it..cause really I hadn't totally told my ex just to go and leave me alone .... But it didn't take too much longer ...Jason took me for a ride on his buell to Shady and my ex pasted us and turned around and followed us back to the store . We get off the bike and I was standing there taking my gear off with about 5 or 6 of my friends standing in front of me and he yells at me so I turn around and he says is that your choice so I proceed to tell him that it was not a choice between him or Jason and that it was not the time nor place to be talking about it either. But anyways Jason had a girl he had been kinda seeing and they had already planned a trip months back with some of his friends so he goes and while he is gone he was missing me and didn't like not being able to talk to me and that kind of stuff so he told her he didn't want to see her again and that he and i was getting together.... So we did and we have seen each other almost everyday since then. We are getting ready to be apart for a pretty good while because he is moving to Flordia for school where he will attend MMI for about 14-15 months ... It is gonna be hard on us but we are both praying that we make it through this together. Guess I could have just said we meet because my ex husband wanted me to look for a bike that he had seen..... ( well my ex husband still likes the Buell and gets along with Jason too , makes it easier since my ex and I have a daughter together.) Hope you liked my story of how we met. And as far as the ex boyfriend he still tries to cause Jason and I crap but mostly just me.

I live in a decent sized town, but still small enough that people know people. My boyfriend has a Brand new black Z06 corvette and two bikes at the time, however I'd never heard of him. I was dating someone at the time and was pretty happy. Well I went out with the girls one afternoon to get Ritas and this guy was there with his corvette, and both my girlfriends were drooling over him...
I said he's just showing off, I hate those kind of guys, plus it looks like he takes longer to get ready then I do. They had then informed me of his "player reputation" So while we were eating at the bench this guy walks over and says hey babe you wanna ride, to me. I just laugh and say why so you can boat me around like a trophy in your pimp ride.
My girlfriend spit out her ice she was so disgusted by what I said to this "supposibly amazing guy" I said no thanks, you can take them. Well later that night I went out on the bike... and low and behold pulled up into a crowd where he was. He asked if he could try again... I said sure. For the next few months he pursued me none stop. To the point I finally gave him a chance... the relationship I was in was rocky and I said hey why not. This guy had been persistent to the point it was annoying. Four years later we are so happy together and have a blast... He's not the player guy anymore and we are currently looking for a house together!
No marriage for us, but I don't want it, so thats why :) LOL

We actually met on a sportbike forum. Sportbikes.ws used to have a separate Jacksonville site (jaxsportbikes.ws). I had been a member on there for a while, was dating someone at the time, and was involved with a local sportbike club.
I was looking for a bike, and posted up something about a bike someone I knew was selling, asking questions, etc.... I get a PM from this guy saying basicaly he's looking for a bike, too, and if I end up not getting it, to let him know cus he might be interested in it. Cool, no problem. I decide to not get that bike, so over the next few weeks, I'm trying to get him in touch with the seller (to no avail).
Well over the course of about 6 or 8 months, we continued to PM and email each other, realized we lived only a few minutes from each other, new a ton of people in common, and got to be good friends. The site/club had a softball team that my then-BF played for, and Chris knew several of the people on the team and was going to play with them the next season, so we ran into each other in passing at a practice (this was the first time we actually saw each other). Next morning he emails me "Were you at practice last night?" I said yeah, he said "I was the big goofy guy with the goatee." :)
Fast forward a few more months, and the previous boyfriend and I had broken up, and Chris was my shoulder to cry on... I was constantly trying to set him up with single girls I knew (he was so cute, and so sweet and funny, why didn't he have a girlfriend?"
Few months later, we decide to go grab a beer and shoot some pool at a pub by my house (for all the talking and emailing, we'd only ever hung out together at the softball games/practices)... :) He walked into the pub that night and seriously I looked at him in a totally different light -- it was like a lightbulb went off and I went "WHOAH! He's hot!" (I later found out the reason he wouldn't let me set him up with any of my GF's was that he was interested in ME... D'oh!!)
That was three years ago, and we've been together ever since. :)

So I lived in some apartments with a roommate (Roxy), we use to party ALOT. Well we knew the neighbor (Chucky) next & down stairs to us. I was hanging out with him alot, well he deployed while I was out of town. Well one night my roommate (Roxy), my ex (Alan) that I was kinda talking to & I came home after the club & seen our neighbors light on. So my roomate & I were like WOW, he is home early. So I sent my ex up to our apt. So we knocked. We could hear behind the door Hey there is 2 girls at the door Yeah. So there were 2 navy guys (Jason & Ben) that answer the door. I was like your not my friend- there like huh. I was like where is Chucky & does he know your here. So we started talking to them for awhile. So Jason went back in & my roommate passed out on her car then went back to our apt. The ex kept coming out asking when I was coming up. So I stayed talking to Ben for awhile. We talked about his baggage (divorce & child), motorcycles (he just bought a 929) & clubbing. Well all of sudden he is like I need to pee (not hey I ll be right back or anything). So I was like ok & went to my apt.
I was moving out the following week & seen him but never talked again. So we moved out & to the neighborhood next to my apts w/ another friend. Well my brother passed away & had to fly to PA for 2 weeks for funeral. Well I had decided to move up there to be w/ my nephews & family. So the weeknd I came back to get my affairs in order to move, I went to the apt complex to use the pool. So I see 2 young looking guys & my old downstairs neighbor(she was a hooch). She started talking to me & some guy was like Hi Melissa (i had no idea who he was) Well we all started hanging out & then I remembered. I wasnt very much interested & hestitate to date a navy guy w/ baggage. So I had more friends meet me there w/ lunch. We all spent the whole day at the pool, everyone was drinking & having a good time. *While at the pool, we were in the middle of it talking* Some girl comes up to the side & was like Ben hey Ben. I told him some girl is calling his name, he is like I dont know her. Come to find out later, it was a girl he was talking to. She not so smart, he told her IT WASNT ME.LOL. So he threw some mach on me asking what I like to do for fun. I said going out, throwing darts, he was like Yeah, I am a pro & I can kick your butt. So I was like ok bring it. So we all went up to our local bar near the apt. that night. And I schooled him, he didnt know how to play he just said that so I would go out w/ him. He tried to make a play & informed him I had a 3 month rule (no sex for 3 months, thats how I weeded out guys that just wanted sex). So he agreed. So we are over 6 years now married over 5 w/ a 4 yr old son. Sorry so long...

The first time we met was really funny, it was a local bike night at a bar about 3.5 or so years ago and a co-worker and I were invited to join the bike night through another co-worker that was part of the club. He showed us a thread that talked about a mini skirt contest and said we should go, so we decided to go. Well, i didn't have any mini skirts so i took an old jean skirt and just hacked it shorter, threw on a top and my 4 inch stilletos. My friend came and picked me up and we made our way downtown.
When we got to the bar, there were bikes lined up outside and we were just in awe. I can't remember if she'd ever been on the back of a sport bike before that night, but i had been on one once before and it was pretty cool but never really thought about it again. Anyways, we walk inside, go up the stairs, and there is a ton of people and no mini skirts. We kinda just looked at each other like, well f*ck.
So our co-worker comes up, and laughingly says "so i guess the competition is just you two!" meanwhile, i'm looking around thinking "yes this is really funny" while everyone looks at us, some approving, some disapproving, some just downright mean.
So, we get a drink, because I need it, and we start making our way around, saying hello, and nice to meet you, as he takes us around to introduce. We make small conversations but mostly keep to ourselves and try to pull our skirts down alittle bit lower. emf*ckingbarassing.
Later on in the night, we're alittle tipsy and brave and decide, we want to ride on some bikes! So the co-worker goes and asks two guys if they'd take us out, mind you what we're wearing and they come over and briefly mention what we're wearing, but hell we're excited and dont really care!
So, we 'partner' up, and the guy that i grabbed was the tall skinny white boy that i am now engaged to.
We didn't exchange numbers, i didn't ask nor did he, and I was shocked and quite taken back, after all we're all goddesses after a few drinks right? lol
We would run into each other here and there at other bike nights, i had bought my own bike a couple months after night after saving up some funds, and so when we'd see eachother we'd laugh about that night and talk about my new (old) bike and then go our seperate ways.
It wasn't until the following year that we met up again one night at the same bar that we first met, and really started talking and then started to go out on dates. He lived with a bunch of single guys so he was usually always over at my place hanging out and then a few months later he pulled me aside on night (after i went to a margaret cho show, which sucked) and asked me if i would be his girlfriend. I smiled and gave him a kiss, then slammed him into the wall that he was standing next too (i don't know why, i was pretty happy and excited and slightly drunk) and then a bum walked up to us asking for a cigarette, lol!
And that was how i met and became the future mrs. frito pie. I call him frito pie, because it's a fabulous dish originated from texas that consists of fritos and chili and cheese, it's delicious, and he's from texas and delicious.
Now, i know, not the proper gear (he did offer his jacket and his helmet but i declined) and it was a very very stupid thing to do, but having only been on one once before and not really thinking of what could happen, nor anyone willing to let me borrow their pants or have a jacket (by that time alot of people had left and only a few were still there that drove) available, or want to mess up my already messed up hair, i went like this and have never again done so since then and can't believe that we did it. it's in the past, i've learned much since then and now always carry a pair of stockings and a beanie with me everywhere! lol

So currently I am technically single, but hanging out with a boy.....
I have 2 stories that are both bike related....
#1 Ex boyfriend: Brian
I went to supercross to watch a friend, Mike, race. I went with a group of friends but there were some people there I didn't know. We were drinking and I was getting pretty sloshed. It had started raining and everyone except me ran for cover at the top of the stands. I stayed at the bottom and danced in the rain. I was soaked. Anyway, one of the boys, Brian, that was with us was super cute and when I drink I get this sense of super extra courage. I was hitting on him like no other and kept trying to get him to kiss me and yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway the races were cancelled because it wouldn't stop raining. So we went back to the pits to see Mike and get our stuff. On the way there I was having difficulties trying to walk in the mud so I started running....Yeah Big Mistake....I slipped and fell and slid like 10 feet on my back. I was covered in mud from Head to Toe.
Brian took me home and gave me a bath!!
We hung out for about a month and then he moved to Denver. (I was still in Grand Junction)
Two years passed and I get a random call it happened to be Brian. I was in the process of packing and moving to Denver. We started hanging out again and dating and we broke up about a month or so ago. He also rides and is the one who encouraged me to take my MSF course.
#2 Current boy (just hanging out): Hector
I was on my way home and a boy on a bike pulled up behind me at a red light. I was checking out the bike. The light turned green and we started to go. The next light turned red and we stopped again, only this time he stopped next to my window. He asked me "would you like to go for a ride?" I said "No thanks, I have my own bike." He told me to pull over so I did, we talked and exchanged numbers.
We have been hanging out ever since.

My husband and I met online. It was sort of ironic because neither of us has ever had trouble meeting people irl. But my roommate at the time and my boss at the time had both met their now spouses/then SO's online. So, I thought heck if they could meet someone nice, surely I could!? Besides, the area where I lived at the time was such that I knew many people and had dated many people and it seemed like everywhere I went (socially), I'd run into someone I'd dated, etc. So, it was sort of getting old for me. :wallbash:
Anyway, when we met, we had both recently come out of very toxic relationships (mine much worse than his, though). We were both looking for a someone who was self-confident, genuine, and fun to be around. We both were looking to settle down and wanted a drama-free friendship/relationship that was intellectually and physically (obviously) stimulating. These things seem simple, but really quite difficult to find these days.
Basically, we just happened to be looking for exactly the same things at exactly the same time. And we both had dated so many other people and were just done with the whole dating scene. So when we met, it was really sort of simple and just fell into place. We emailed back and forth for only 4 days before we agreed to meet. We've spent nearly every day together since then. :in_love:
We've been together for 4 years. We dated for about a year and half before we got married. And then about a year and a half after we got married, we had our son. We'll start trying for baby #2 sometime in the next few months.
Thank goodness for the internet...

So many interesting stories!
Denver & I met on Halloween in 2000. He was in New Orleans (where I am from) for a the Voodoo music festival to see Counting Crows and Live.
We had mutual friends. I remember chatting with some "blonde headed guy" at the bar after the show and he shared a cab with me and a friend to the hotel after. All I remember is how he looked. I didn't even know his name.
A month later I was helping some friends move to Atlanta. After unpacking we were invited to our friend Toneys house to watch movies. That same blonde headed dude opened the door and my mouth hit the floor asking what he was doing here...he said he lived here. They were roommates.
We talked the entire night and had a long distance relationship for 4 months before I packed up and moved to georgia. 3 years later we were married on Halloween in New Orleans.

I met Ross at a track day at VIR back on October 1st, 2005. When I first saw him I thought he was the hottest guy I had ever seen. He had that surfer boy/biker thing going on. We chatted but nothing major. We kept in contact after our track day by AIM and email. We became really good friends and I'd share with him what was going on in my life and the men that I had no luck with. He did the same. About a year later and we started to see each other in a different light. We took "interest" in each other, more than friends.
So, we've been together every since then. He's the man of my dreams and I honestly have all I could ever ask for.
When they carve my stone all they need to write on it is once lived a woman who got all she ever wanted. Tell me somethin, who could ask for more, than to be livin in a moment you would die for. :in_love:

Well... Trey and I met about 5 1/2 years ago at the Maytag in Fort Collins, which is where all the bikers used to meet up to talk, ride, and talk some more! Just the main after dark hang out. I had my F4i then and when I first pulled up, he came over (apparently he said to the other guys around him, "I have dibs!") and said that he really liked my undertail (it was a hotbodies that I just installed)... and I was foolish enough to believe he was talking about my bike and wasn't really looking at my ass :D We started talking and decided to go for a ride up to Estes that Saturday to have lunch... so, that was our first date... and that is how we met!
