No, not Red Bull Rookies Cup, but USGPRU / CCS.

It would have been extra sad if it was the Red Bull series as one of the kids that was going to be taking part in the try-outs last year was killed the Friday during an open practice day - his name and the track is slipping my mind right now, but he was also about 13/14.

It's a shame when the young rising stars are taken from us.

Are you talking about Connor LaFrance who was killed at Barber Motorsports in October 2007? It happened at the practice day prior to the WERA races.

Yup, Connor. I think I read on th WERA board that he was going to be trying out for the rookies cup. But then again, its been a crazy week, it could have been somebody else.

It was nice to see Connor's dad post up on Wera a few days ago.
