I thought today was going to be super crappy! I woke up with a headache and weather.com said it was going to rain. I had not had a chance to take my bike out in 3 weeks...and since I am a major noob I was afraid it would ruin some of the confidence I had built up. :(

BUT...things turned around...

My headache went away, my husband wanted to ride (despite the clouds and chance of rain) and I was game. Today was the first day I went on some twisties! :superman: Now these are not crazy pro twisties and I was going really pretty slow but it was still so much fun!

The rode that we went on (154 to Paradise to Stagecoach...in case any of you know the area) was one I had been the passenger for a long while back. Back then I HATED IT! The first time my husband took me on it he let me wear his leather jacket so he was not protected...from ME! I scratched up his chest where I was holding on...through his shirt. :aBigROLFMAO: I have said it before...I was not made to be a passenger! :not_i:

Anyway, now that I have told you my life story, I just wanted to share. :clapping:

That is what I am counting on! Hopefully by next spring/summer I will be track ready. :D

BTW - I need to go riding more often...I am super sore and we were only out a little over an hour.

Well ensure you hydrate, and get rest. I also stretch before a ride.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to be track/race ready. A good track day can be very rewarding, but can ruin your street/ hill experience.

yup.

And good twisties ya dont have to go fast to have fun. Thats why the Dragon is so popular. Something about 318 curves in 11 miles, including hairpins, switchbacks, some of the greatest camber n banking for a public road I ever seen. And yea the more ya ride the less sore ya get n the longer you can stay out riding. :good:
