http://www.cbrforum.com/upfiles/16333/FE5302AA14E64ABE95D1AAE0D5118C43.jpg
This is one of the guys off the cbr forum. Said he normals wears a jacket, well he was going to check a park out his GF wanted to picnic at, and thought he would be ok. To all you who think ya dont need gear imagine the pain of having the dressings changed on that every morning. Still dont wanna wear at least the min of gear??????

I get crap from the guys I work with for my helmet and my gear - especially on those hot 90F days. I should show them this.
I've seen too much in my life to know better and dress for the occasion.

Here's a good one for everyone to go look at. I usually try and post this once or twice a year on all my motorcycle forums i'm on. Espically around the start of riding season and during the middle of summer when people are bitching that it's too hot to wear gear.

yeaaaah most accidents happen within 5 miles of home...even in cars...gas station or down the street I will always wear my gear. Even for a 20 min ride in a parking lot.
Heck my friend Jenny went down last year. Friend of hers was just gonna grab her and take her a couple of blocks away to a party, she use to always wear her gear but this time she was in a skirt & shirt...they came to an intersection and poof.
She got a chunk outta her head, left hand on the pinky was pretty bad, grit up in her knee, dirt still embeded in her ear...she is an ATGATT chick now. If you ever see a cute lil girl with curly hair sporting riding boots and rolled up jeans at a local (denver) bike or car show, thats her.
She doesnt even like seeing anyone riding w/o a jacket, it scares her.
She never wants to ride passenger ever again.

I've gotten in a bad habit of not wearing my jacket on hot days. Florida is awesome but the heat just kicks my ass.

Yea road rash hurts, I couldn't imagine having it all over my back.
This is my left knee...after my crash in Feb this year. I still haven't been able to afford riding pants, so yes I still run the risk of doing it again. Ouch!!

I've done the same on the hottest/most humid days up here, but good grief - these pics are enough to make me think twice about that!!! It's never that bad when I'm moving, but riding Routes 30 and 41 in mid-day traffic are wretchedly hot.
ALWAYS wear the helmet and boots, though! :)
Super Fun Gurl!

I should print this thread out and carry it with me. I always wear one of my jackets, helmet, and gloves. People give me a hard time. I figure the more I ride the higher my risk of going down. I've been riding for 8 years and have had no incidents. I'm not an aggressive rider. However, my day is coming. Maybe I shouldn't look at it that way, but hey, I'm not invincible. I'll wear my gear and protect myself the best I can.

It's not a matter of if you go down, but when. I've been riding for 7 years and had my first accident this past spring.
There are two types of riders in the world, those that have been down and those that will go down.
Best to be prepared for it!! :D
