Hi,

I am looking for a cheap hotel in Indianapolis later in the summer, and I am looking for an area where we can leave the bike in the parking lot overnight without anybody messing with it. Any suggestions on good areas to book a hotel and where I should avoid?

Well nevermind, I found a place out in Nashville, Indiana (didn't know there was such a place) and I'm hoping it will be biker friendly. Since it is a smaller town I am not expecting anybody to mess with the bike.

Yea, you'll probably be fine then. Let us know how it is! Never heard of it either.

Nashville is the best area in Indiana to ride down around where Sofa lives. Closest thing to good twisites you will find. There's the little nashville opry where good concerts are frequent. Awesom riding, tons of shops as it is a tourist attraction area. A Beautiful park Brown County state park. I would agree it's not a high risk area for worrying about your bikes getting taken :)

I had a vacation to go down there planned last year, but it fell through. The area was VERY highly recommended by a co-worker though. :)

Awesome thanks for the feedback! I have been having a hard time finding a hotel in the surrounding area on the dates I will be there so I kind of stumbled across some vacancies in Nashville that also fit my budget. Now I will definitely have to plan a fun ride. Thanks!

That's where a lot of us from Indy go for good rides. If you want to try to meet up with some of us while you're in town, let us know! Just so you are aware, it's about 40 minutes or so from Indianapolis. Hope that doesn't put a damper on your plans.

That would be cool! I will be there in the second weekend of August. The event I am going to was moved from Indy to University of Indiana so it looks like I won't be too far away. I recently got my motorcycle endorsement but I'm not road ready yet, so I will be riding on the back of my bf's bike.

I don't think Bloomington is too far away from there, not sure how far, but I think you can take one major road there. As of right now, I can't think of anything we are doing in August, so just keep us updated on when you will be here so we can try to plan something.
