Someone recently hit me up because they were surprised at what I do for a living..
No I'm not in 'that' kind of business.
I thought it might be interesting to see what your areas of expertise are? Also, if you have any other hobbies aside from riding?
I am a Microsoft Exchange Administrator (Manage email for a company), my other hobbies would include spending time with my two favorite guys (Jon and my lil man), water sports, snow boarding, doing calligraphy (when the mood hits), this web stuff is pretty kick arse too and SLEEPING. :)

I currently own my own business cleaning commercial ovens. I used to have a real job but since my back surgery I've been on disability. Now I just tell someone else what to do and the hardest part of my job is staying up all night. Sometimes I get bored and actually work but my doctor doesn't like that too much so I try to limit it.
I'm also a semi-pro drag racer in the NMRA. Just started this year, and my class is pretty tough, so my winnings are somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 for the season. but hey, it's fun, which is why I do it :D
I guess that pretty much covers my hobbies as well.

Leah - I wonder who that was? ;)
My first "real" job right out of high school was working as a helpdesk monkey for a non-profit educational company out of Longmont. I worked there for about 2.5 years before I quit to go work for Cingular as a sales associate. Within 3 months, I was promoted to assistant manager of the store off of 6th and Broadway downtown. I worked there in wireless retail for another 2.5 years before I just recently quit and started another job as a helpdesk coordinator for an international health company. So my experience is IT/Networking and retail sales.
Hobbies? Cars and bikes.

Right now, my occupation is stay-at-home mommy during the week and I bartend on weekends. Before that I was bartending full-time and in school full-time. And before that I worked as an Analyst for a consumer goods giant.
Hobbies are anything outdoors--hiking, riding, lounging by my pool, tennis, running, inline skating; yoga, pilates, working out, weight training; reading, crosswords, sudoku; cooking--gourmet and casual food; and many other hobbies. Probably too many hobbies. :)

I’ve worked for years as an office assistant or some such title. In January 2006 I started working for my Dad. I’m the Office Manager, or whatever title I choose to give myself, of his metal shop. What do I manage? Myself. I’m a glorified phone answerer that does taxes and paychecks and any other paper work.
In my off time, I enjoy playing on the computer, riding, reading, whatever sounds fun at the time.

I operate and maintain multiple businesses.
One of the services I provide is teaching people how to become completely debt free and financially independent. This is achieved through asset management and educating people on how money works by getting them involved.
Most people don't plan to fail, but fail to plan.
When you have questions, E-mail or PM me with your name, phone number, and the topic. Regulations prohibit most financial communication through the Internet.

My full time job is higher education. I have been with this same damn company for almost 8 years. No I am not a teacher, I am on the staff side of things. I am also a Deputy Probation Officer. I volunteer my time on Friday's to do that. But I do have my own case load of 19 adult offenders & 13 juvenile female offenders. My BS is in Criminal Justice, and one day I will get to become an actual PO, but I have to volunteer first (it's one of those happy catch 22's)
As for hobbies... I love to ride and train my horses & hang out with friends & family. I pretty much keep my plans open cause I always have one of my friends calling me tellin me what I will be doing that day.... *cough* R1.....

Honestly, a good barrel horse is the most fun to ride.
Fast as hell, a little jumpy, and can turn on a dime. THAT's a spirited ride.

Now that is cool! I've always wanted to paint my own furniture but I know deep down it would look like total crap.
As for what I "do." I spend the majority of my day working in an acute (which just means temporary) psychiatric hospital as a case manager. We get patients that are referred to us by law enforcement (attempted suicides and psychotic types) as well as walk-ins who are in immediate crisis. I do group therapy and interact a lot with the patients. I help them find housing placement if they don't have anywhere to go afterwards and I refer them to longer-term outpatient services for when they leave. I'm also responsible for responding to "codes" that get called when the patients go psychotic on others or themselves or try to escape. In which case I'm typically going to be the one to de-escalate the situation by talking to them. It's high-stress but it's really rewarding.
When I'm not locked away in the asylum I like to ride - a lot, I'm a huge motogp fan, and I like to barbecue/cook for my friends and play pool or poker. I'm also a bit of a book-nerd. I really dig existentialist philosophy.

Well I work full time for a Komatsu, Ingersol-Rand, Sennebogen, Deutz, Cummins, Tadano, Wacker dealership. I am a master mechanic. I am an excellent welder, and fabricator. I have a a&p license to work on aircraft, but 911 killed that. I build super latemodles on the side for the right money. I make wiring harnesses from scrap on race cars, and hot rods. I have my own customizing motorcycle shop. I am a full time daddy of 2 boys 7 and 14weeks. I love going to watch dirt track racing. I hit the boob bar every now and then. I use to be a race car driver, but lack of money is keeping me sidelined. I am a 2 time national Radio Control driving champion...lol Basically if it's fast I am involved...lol

Im a "recovering" Pro Dominatrix. Seriously. Been into the scene for 9 yrs+ but have just recently become sick and tired of ppl's seriously "OFF" the wall "kinks" (trying to refrain from profanity here). Anyway..I used to make more $ in a one week than most do in a month. Which is why I can sit here and post away to my hearts content. However, I found alot is missing in the way of a challenge for me.
Do I like cracking the whip? Hell YEA I do. However, I'd rather be doing something a bit more "conservative"..HOLY HELL I can't believe I just said that..of all people..there goes the neighborhood.
For now, I'm focused on the military and which branch of service (ie Navy or Army) will give me the best opportunity. Regardless, I'm choosing one or the other and going off for training in January. I can no longer sit around and watch my beloved country and do nothing for it in return! I am fearless! Seriously! Sometimes that scares me..however, I believe everything is a learning process..some make mistakes, some learn from them, some don't. I'd say I've had my share of screwing up, but I believe I'll never "grow up" 110%. My heart remains a child that just wants to find what works for HER..and pretty much..to the one that DONT LIKE IT, well....that's their problem!
Oh and for the record...this IS absolutely 100% LEGAL!! :D
Anywho...:stop:

Nope none taken. And honestly..."goth" was never an image to me. I'm just not your typical average Jane Doe, so I think I'd do extremely well in the military. I wont' cry when I break a nail, or when some dude or chick drill sgt is screaming in my face. Not most women would want to even go there!

I have been a top Realtor in my market in Brighton, MA. for 7 years now. Unfortunately the market recently slowed down a little, so it's not as rewarding as it used to be.
I have found a new carreer and a great way to write off my race and motorcycle addiction. Last February we started a race parts store. We started just by selling billet aluminum parts for a particular model bike that we had designed for us. Another manufacturer appoached us to sell for them and now we're really rolling. I guess sales is sales. I'm always having fun and lovin' my life.

I was in the Military, and I think it is great. The military instils things that most of the time people don't normal get in their lives and understand it most of the time. Even if you are girly girl, I belive that they can get though it. I enjoyed it, but I am not a girly girl. The only downside I found to it, is that I am a female and they didn't deploy me as much as I would have liked and they didn't send me anywhere dangerous. So that is why I do what I do now.
