So any fellow Austinites planning any upcoming rides? If so, let me know. If we're free, I know me and my neighbor will go. Neighbor has a zx-6r, which she was nice enough to leave in my garage when she went home for the holidays, that I got to play with for awhile :D But she's back now and took the bike back too :( hehe If anyone's up for a ride, perhaps down 1431 to Marble Falls, let me know :D

We have an awesome twisties ride on Sunday mornings that meets in Fayetteville for lunch at this really good Orsarks Cafe. TONS of sportbikes meet there. Our local group from www.superbikemoto.com and other forums here in Houston show up there around lunchtime. Lots of fun.

Hmm... So how's the... 'support' look from the local PD out there?

I know the Park rodes (PR 4) out here are heavily traversed by the park rangers and will pull you over for any reason they can come up with. If you're not speeding but your muffler is whining loudly, yup, getting pulled over and harassed... They don't like motorcycles too much on that road.

Haven't had much of an issue on our rides so far. Our Forest ride through Montgomery, Lake Conroe, Willis, etc. became like that and that route has been somewhat abondoned by the sportbike world. Too much gravel and construction as well. This Fayetteville ride has been pretty nice so far with very few to no incidents.

:good:

So have yall made a trip down to Leakey yet to ride the Three Sisters (CR 335, 336, 337)? It's NW of S.A. and is supposed to be one helluva ride.

They are great rides....I think I am doing PR4 tomorrow, did 2222 today. In my experience we haven't had much trouble with the LEO's. Most we have ever gotten is a hand out the window motioning to slow down. Dumb luck I guess. I wasn't planning on riding today, I was planning on going to work, but I ended up taking the 3 hour drive to work (my office is 5 miles away).

that's awesome :) I was planning to do a lot of rides today but I went to bone dayddy's for lunch and some girls i know were bartending... then when they got off work we all ended up hanging out drinking... lol so my all day riding ended up being an hour or two and that's it :( oh well, it'll be even nicer outside tomorrow, so it's all good :D

hehe, no no no, we stayed there drinking :) They actually ended up paying for the entire bill... I told them I got the bill, got up to go to the bathroom, came back and they said they already took care of it all... That was a surprise, but what it really means is that the next time the bill will be much much larger and it'll definitely be mine. hehe
