I know this isn't really any help, but did you try to take it to a different cleaners? They probably don't want you to try to say that they ruined the jacket. I would offer maybe to sign something saying you know that it's messed up and if they can fix it, great, if not, well they tried. I really don't have any advice other than that.

No promises that this will work because I can't see the type of leather, the construction or the colours in the jacket. It could damage the jacket beyond repair!

On many occasions, as a last resort, I have put leather in the washer on gentle cycle. Obviously, don't put it in the dryer. So far, it has worked every time from suede dresses to buffalo hide boots. Honestly though, I've never tried it with a jacket.

Good Luck!

i know this is majorly thread jacking but ninjachic said it was ok.. ZX14Chick that new sig pic is hot - major props on the switch for sure.. the other pic you had kind of annoyed me to be honest.. its a crime you haven't been selected BOTM yet..

as far as the leather i would say go to a leather shop and see what they recommend - they sell the goods they should know proper handling and care.. when all else fails:

Call Barnacle Bill and see what he says. I know they recommend soaking your racing leathers in the bathtub to get your sweat and body oils out, then conditioning the leather with something like Meguir's, or other leather conditioner (I use Zymol.) Several members of another board will even put their leathers on, get in the shower, and use shampoo on them.

Leaving the detergent on the leathers will definitely damage the leather. I know that if you put salt in the water when you wash red items, it keeps the red from running. Just don't know if it'd work in this case. Ask Bill about that, too.
