These aren't track bikes. We ride these one the street also. just taped and track prepped.

Kewl...but, I don't think my trumpet will lean into the corners like that very well!!! Besides, it gives me an excuse to get another bike....wonder what i shlould start off with...

Is there a "Advice for those wanting to start trackdays" thread?

Suzuki gs 500 Or the ninja 500.
also the ninja 650. will have to lower it dramatically though. I like all 3 nikes.
I also love the new ninja 250 but I can't use one. I would like to just have one too look at.
The zzr600 would also be a good bike to buy if you have been riding for awhile.

There's an old, Kawi 500 EX in my friends shop that needs some TLC. I can flat foot it so that makes me comfortable...I like the little 250 as well...I don't have a lot of seat time, but now that the warmer weather is here, that shouldn't be a problem (once the bike is fixed).

Maybe I should look into giving that little kawi some TLC and get her running!

Absolutely. would be a great bike to start on.Fix it and ride it.
