as of right now I'm in Korea... but come this time next year... (Late Feb-early March 09) I'll be moving to Colorado Springs...
Just wondering what I've got to look forward to... Before Korea I was in Anchorage AK so I'm no stranger to cold or snow... but I hear the Springs don't get much of either... (in comparison to Denver at least) this true?
When does the riding season begin/end? I'm plann'n on buy'n my first house there... any area's to steer clear of? I'm single and so my housing budget won't be much so I know I'll be in the shady part of town but I'd still like to steer clear of the worst if I can...
Anyways... Look forward to hopefully meeting a few of ya and make'n some riding buddys...

I hope so... seems most people I know are down in the south... but I'm really looking forward to CO... hopefully when I deploy again it'll be in the WINTER so I can put the miles on my bike that she deserves!

R1Gurl and Suki live in Co. And then theres a ton of regs that live there as well.I still like New England. I think I will always be a Yankee Girl!

I just hated the people there... I'm too laid back for New England... well at least CT...
and I like the country too much...

I am on the side of the state closer to NY. Its mainly country where I grew up!

I live in CO springs right now. Its a toss up about the snow last few years are the worst to memory. Its the mountians and the plains and really get hit up just annoying as all in the city cause in denver and the springs its like everyone forgets how to drive or there bad ass with their 4x4 Esuv's. LOL
Ridding season whats that? LMAO Most my buddies ride when its clear. Just remember all year long you have the Risk off all the stupid gravle on the roads. Pot holes to. My husband last wednesday bout me a new and borrowed it to go to Denver to meet with me at my parents house on saterday. Hit a pot hole doing 85 on the highway and compleatly shreded the hole thing and cracked the stock rim. GRRRR So watch out for po holes their not whole their crators that could eat a truck alive. The springs is also the worst if you have a low profile car. You need a lifted 4x4 to just drive to work.
Umm the Twisties and the mountian drives are well worth living here. I live in North East Side of the springs but five minuets from the west gate for Peterson AFB. Its a really nice area and I am in a Rent to Own house for about 920 a month. 3 bed room bi level house 2 car oversized garage 2 bath and a working fireplace. So its not a bad deal. Older house but a good neighborhood. Theres even nicer newer houses for 850 a month that are 4 bed room 3 bath 2 car garage. So look around.

I am a rental. Just depends on a LOT of stuff. Where your at what you want all sorts of stuff.
DENVER it self is off the charts and so are mountian spots to. Shrugs I am a bargin shoper...
But one thing to ALWAYS remember when your house shoping be it rental or buy...

I am a rental. Just depends on a LOT of stuff. Where your at what you want all sorts of stuff.
DENVER it self is off the charts and so are mountian spots to. Shrugs I am a bargin shoper...

Yes, thats mainly how it works.
Biggest thing bout it, it helps ppl who dont have the credit rating for a House loan. Tom and I plan to buy it fix the place up then when we PCS have my parents as standing Landlords and rent the place out.

Cool... I'll actually be stationed at the Academy... but I really don't care where I live...
most of the houses that I've been looking at are down by the army base in the south side... I'm just looking for a small 1-3 bedroom for at or under 100k... (don't wanna pay more than my BAH for the place...)
to be honest though never thought about the rent to own thing... I'll defiantly be pick'n your brain about that one

For your information, I was going to go but when I came back and was packing to go, my grandfather said if I go he's taking the car, and I was cut off financially. Which at that time cutty knows how I went through his money.... And if I would have met I never would have found you...... so ha. I am glad I didn't move. Just whining that this cold weather is sucky and would like to find warmth sometime soon.....

For your information, I was going to go but when I came back and was packing to go, my grandfather said if I go he's taking the car, and I was cut off financially. Which at that time cutty knows how I went through his money.... And if I would have met I never would have found you...... so ha. I am glad I didn't move. Just whining that this cold weather is sucky and would like to find warmth sometime soon.....
