Ok so, I have been waiting for the past 3 months for Icon to bring out their new line of women's gear. I got a glimpse of it when Jessica Maine did a photo shoot for Icon in the new jacket. Well, knowing Icon I know they'd come out with a new helmet too.

I dont have the link but google motorcycle superstore and check out Icon's new line called GOGO. I like everything in black. They dont show the back of the jacket but there is a cute little skull thing.
Icon's new female logo I guess is a heart with retro writing inside of it, I cant remember what it says but its a cute thing.
I like the colors too but thats a bit much for me, I'd go for a dark purple.

Yup, the Bombshell GoGo jacket and pants (in black, of course) are on my wishlist... the new catalogue hit mailboxes last week. Super hot stuff.

The Kitty stuff was cute, but the fringe on the chaps was just *barf.* But the new GoGo stuff is just excellent... it's got a very traditional tattoo thing going (the skull on the back, the swallows on the shoulders/hips, etc...). There's also a couple of cute tees that coordinate with it.

And for those who haven't tried on the Bombshell jacket? It's incredibly comfy. Very supple leather.

I have to say, Icon has stepped up to the plate with the newest offerings... some hot new helmet graphics, some new gloves with gel padding in the palms, couple new boot styles (and I'm not including the Bombshell boots, just cus no one in their right mind should actually RIDE in those)... all in all, they've really stepped up their game.

+1 I love my Icon gear... I just wish there weren't such a bad rap following it... too many people that I know say that it's just "poser" gear and doesn't offer any protection... I'm sorry, but I don't think I would wear gear day after day that I felt didn't protect me... oye!!

There's been multiple arguments on every board there is about this... On another women's board I'm on (and CBRchick is on) there was a HUUUUUGE debate about pink and blue gear (referring primarily to the Icon Kitty stuff), and that girls who wear it are attention whores, etc.... I don't wear pink and blue gear, but the way I see it is this: if a girl won't wear gear cus it's not "cute," but she likes the pink/blue stuff, and therefore she'll wear it? I'm all for it.

And Icon has historically been seen as "stunna" gear... but the fact is, if not for Icon and their more decorative/flashy designs, a lot of the other manufacturers wouldn't have stepped up and added more vibrant and unique designs to THEIR lines.

I've only heard sporadic problems with the quality of Icon gear... seems there were one or two styles of gloves that had a bunch of problems. On the other hand, I've had my Icon Alliance helmet for almost 2-1/2 years, and it still fits great.

Bottom line, wear the gear you like, and that FITS you, but just wear gear!!

REAAAALy now!?!?!
I have the Tuscadero
http://www.gomotoriders.com/images/product/Icon_done/IconWomenJackets_done/TuscaderoJacket_done/wtuscaderojkt05-2.jpg

I lent it to my friend until she could get her own jacket instead of wearing her bf's.....She went for a group ride and there was a passenger girl w/o gear so she wore her man's jacket, he wore his mesh and she lent my jacket to the girl...
Girl had only been on a bike once before and it wasnt canyon riding...She leaned out and they went down....HARD.

There is not a SCRATCH on that jacket. She broke her wrist & knee cap but the jacket had dirt ground into it in one small spot. Nothing water and a rag couldnt fix.

Tell THAT story to the ppl who say Icon has no protection factor.

And honestly gear is gear. And wearing Fox gear is poser....Im a poser I wear fox LOL HEY! they got cute stuff!!! and it still says I like bikes :) but Icon has a new line of casual too so Imma get that :P

I will say, the Tuscadero and the orig Kitty were of a much thicker, stiffer leather than the new Bombshell and Bombshell GoGo. But they also didn't fit as nicely (I mean we're talking 1.4mm versus 1.2mm, so not a HUGE difference, but I wouldn't attempt to rock the Bombshell at a track or anything... lol)

I love Fox casual wear... their women's tees fit SO nicely and are really soft and comfy.

+ 1,000,000!!!! Icon protection (if it is "less" than other lines) is better than no protection! And, I'm sure back in the day, it probably wasn't up to par with say Dainese or Alpinestar simply because Icon wasn't in the track/race market... but now that motorcycle gear is becoming so high tech that there is now a thinner line between the different companies... I feel absolutely protected in my Kitty jacket... and I love that I now look like a girl, being in purple, instead of the black AStars jacket I've worn for years.

See man thats my thing I like SOFT casual stuffs...like Victoria secret's shorts & tanks are yumm.

Back to gear tho haha
I'm glad Icon has Style in their gear. Power trip came out with a cute jacket too but again not my style. I see the girly stuff then the bland stuff. I think they need to find something for us girls that like to be girls but not preppy/girly girl. I like pink but thats TOO MUCH pink...pink and black I can do. The blue is too baby blue and I dont like their dark blue.

GIMMIE PURPLE!!!
NOT LAVENDER!!!

I like my kitty jacket its cute but I'd like a mesh in a royal purple.

+1

My primary riding jackets are black (leather), white (mesh), black & red (mesh)... but they're all women-specific jackets, and all feminine in styling... I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to look like a girl when you ride. :)
