My name is Angel and I am 31 years old. I graduated High School in 1995. I have 4 children! I spend a lot of time online-- It keeps me sane! I began playing with web design in 1996. I like to build websites. I change a few of mine every six months to keep them fresh looking. I like to use css for my pages because it is much easier to work with! If you use a style sheet the rest is pretty easy. Of course it is a pain in the butt too but if you play with it after hours of frustration you can usually end up with a nice site --right? I also love pictures and graphics. I run a web hosting business. Customers are hard to get because the price has come down so much on hosting costs. I also run an IRC network. IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and it has been around a long time. I am ageek. I have installed command line gentoo linux on one of my computers and i run a home server off of it. It has been stable since I installed it 2 years ago. I tend to get bored with my classes. Coming into alot of them I already know alot of the stuff computer wise so sometimes I find the work, busy work. I love to watch the tv show LOST. My other favorite TV Shows are ER, CSI and HOUSE those Surreal Life shows on VH1 listen to all kinds of music and love to DJ. I am not a girlie girl. I like to wear baseball caps and just go casual. Having for kids leaves no time for glamour! I love the New York Yankees. I am a Gen Xer an I love 80's pop culture. I am a genuine person and i do not take my friends lightly. Probably more than you wanted to know but theres a little bit about me. Oh, I also write poetry from time to time and I love to cook. I truly believe if there is one thing you can do in this life it is be kind and practice random acts of kindness. I truly believe in karma. I just try to do right by others and hope they do right by me if I ever needed them!! (ok enough of being profound!). Just got into sportbikes a lil while ago thanks to PG. Taking my MSF Sept 7th and looking for a Bike!

Anywho, my name is Michelle, I'm 32 years old from the Detroit area. I ride a 2004 GSXR 1000 and also ride the other ponies in the stable which include an '01 RC51 and as of last week an '07 GSXR 1000 which is absolutely the sexiest and sick fastest bike I have ever been on.

I have been riding for about 7 years including street and track. Unfortunately I do not currently have a track bike so I have not been out to play since last year :( I work in the construction industry as a General Contractor with my family owned and operated company. I have my Builders License and am also a Realtor with Keller Williams-Northville however with this ****hole real estate economy around here that is going nowhere fast.

Besides riding and work my other passion is animal rescue. I am the Co-Director of ResQ 4 Paws (www.resq4paws.org -yes the website sucks but I don't know how to make them!) which is an all-breed dog and cat rescue which saves animals from euthanasia at area pounds and animal controls, and gets the word out about the importance of spay/neuter of pets.

Took my MSF course this year, got all my gear but no bike.
The savings for the bike was drained when my idenity was stolen.
I'll get the bike next season.
I am Secretary of the SICKGirlz. A new all female motorcycle club in Denver that is dedicated to promoting motorcycle awareness and volunteering to help within the community.

My sportbike addiction started after my 1st passenger ride. I didnt know how into it I was until I woke up the next morning twitching for another ride. I soon realized to ride as much as I wanted to I would have to either become a curb monkey or get a bike of my own...well I am independant and never want a guy for his possessions...so I started saving for my own bike. As said above crap happened.

My main interest in riding is to ride track.
I love the twisties. My 2nd ride ever was up in the mountains and I loved getting low. My friend took me out one day and we ended up going to a small local track. I was hot and thought I wouldnt enjoy it at all. Until I watched.
I was hanging on the gate like a little kid gawking - I might as well had been drooling. One of the guys made it look like ballet on two wheels with how smooth he went through the turns.
My friend came back from the track, got off his bike, took off his gear and asked me what I thought...While still looking out at the other guys on the track I said to him "I want to see myself out here in 5 years or less dragging knee"

And thats how it is.
My ultimate goal is to ride the Tail of the Dragon effortlessly.

Dont think there is much else to tell. I cant wait to chat with everyone and learn even more about bikes =)

hiya everybody. i'm itgirl25 aka kim. contrary to what most people think, my screen name has nothing to do with computers (no IT professional here). aside from using AOL, i am pretty much computer illiterate. 'itgirl' is a term i stole from cosmopolitan magazine 7 years ago, it means the 'hot girl of the moment'.

i am 32 years old, married with 2 girls ages 5 and 8. i currently ride an 04 kawasaki zx636 and am waiting impatiently for my 08 harley davidson xl 1200 N (nightster) to arrive this week. i work part time as a fitness consultant at curves 2 nights a week, but i consider myself a full-time mom. that takes up most my time. i try to get away and ride as often as the kids will let me, which isn't as much as i'd like it to be. summer is almost over now anyways.

looking forward to getting to know everyone here and having meaningful dialogue with the ones i already know as well. thanks for having me...

Anyway, I have always had the need for speed. I used to race cars but fell out of it while going to school because of lack of money. I just graduated from college with my business finance degree. My ex rode and while we were together he encouraged me to take my MSF course. I did and I loved it. My dad rides and 2 of my 3 brothers ride. I guess it's also in my blood. I bought my first bike, a red '07 GSX R600. I haven't had much time to ride it because it's been in the shop getting lowered (see thread on bike lowereing).

I work at a bank as a personal banker. I just moved to the Denver area to open a new location of the bank I have been working for for the last 5.5 years. I love to work out, dance, play softball and snowboard, cook and bake, watch football, hockey and baseball.

I spend my work weeks dealing with riders designing custom suits as well as weekend going to all AMA races as well as Parts Unlimited and Suzuki sanctioned events to hang out! 23yr old livin in baltimore. currently doing drafting work for SFA defense products down in Easton (hr 1/2 commute everyday blows). attended 3yrs of college, but got bored and left....plan on going back this fall. im an artist, athlete and rider. my bf got me into riding- first w/ 4wheelers and dirtbikes (they dont really have that around where i live) about 4yrs ago- then he bought a streetbike and i fell in love. its hard to decide what i love more- ridin in the dirt or ridin on the street http://racersden.net/forum/images/smilies/luv.gif

Hi! I got an add from sportbikegurls on myspace so I thought I'd stop by. I am actually only 17 and just got my license this summer. I can't afford a bike of my own right now, college leaves you basically broke lol. But my parents have harleys and my boyfriend has 2 sport bikes instead of a car. I prefer his as the harleys really proved not my type of bike. I learned on my bf's ninja 650 and i loved it, and even just sitting on the back of his yamaha R1 with him is a thrill. One thing I hate about being away in Gainesville, Fl, I don't even get to touch a bike until I see him on the weekends, and even then barely have time to go for a drive. Im hoping to get my hands on a CBR 600 once Im in the right place financially but really any sport bike would be fantastic. Anyway...so nice to meet everyone lol.

Welcome..We have been debating the reason to have anything more than a 600 cc bike. I have an R1 and an R6..Why 1300 cc's?

As far as the 1300 goes...I had 98' GSXR750 from early 99' until it was stolen Aug 2001. Loved the bike, more then enough power. Handled great. I can totally see your point as far as a 600 being plenty fast top-end. The 1300 is faster 0-whatever. It feels much the same as the 750 as far as handling. One other factor was an attempt to find a lil more comfort, (I know - comfortable sport bike - oxymoron right?) figured the 1300 being a big bike wouldn't be quite as cramped. I'm 5'10", not huge but not small either. My buddy has a ZZR600 and I was pretty cramped on it. And lastly, to be honest a friend got the exact same colored bike in 06' and I loved the colors and look. So, when this one came up I jumped on it. Right now I also have a 89 Goldwing. Thats been my only bike for the last couple of years. It weighs almost 1000lbs so coming of that, a 1300 feels like a 600 to me anyway. hahaha

well im not to good at these kind of things but here it goes...Im 24 and i am married with a 2 1/2year old son we all love street bikes my husband rides a 96 kawi Zx7 750 RR, and i ride a 97 honda CBR 600 F3...well my son love to stunt his lil one around you can ask him any kind of trick and he will do it for you..this is our life..

Hi, I'm Justin and I've been riding for 10 years. My first bike was a 1978 Honda CB200T. I bought it for 100 bucks just to learn how to ride. My best friend taught me how to ride and I'll always have a bike and ride to remember him by. Right now I have a 2001 GSXR-600 with 40 thousand miles on it. I bought it brand new and just love it. It takes the curves great. The bike has never given me a problem or let me down. I love to hit up Deal's Gap for the curves and the rush. (Also know as The Tail of The Dragon.) 318 cruves in 11 miles. That about covers it. Be good or be good at it, better yet.. show him a curve and he'll take it.. on TWO wheels or with a kiss.

Love and R1 gurl told me to post an intro so here goes.....I'm not a gurl, (but I like gurls), especially since I have 3 sisters and a mom....lol I love fast things whether it has a leg, a wheel or a wing. I'm always up for adventure and a good days work for me would be going to bed completely exhausted!! I have two motorcycles, I do trackdays, Sunday rides and some rallies. I started up my own motorcycle crew in NYC made up of close friends and bros, I consider anyone with a bike my friend (unless they stuff me in a corner, then its on!!) Glad to be a part of this club. All NYC riders should give me a shout!!!

i have a 2 year old and another due in JAN so i missed this whole riding season. :( I have to bike a 97 srad that is my project bike and my pride and joy and a 07 gsxr 6 to ride while i work on my srad. My husband rides too but couldn't tell you where the coolant goes. :) Hopefully i will be going to MMI soon but being a military wife its hard to just pick up and leave state. I hope to own my own shop one day thats geared towards women riders, since here you have to special order to get a good pair of boots if your short. . :)
