SBG is too off topic? Yes its a sportbike forum but we can discuss other things?
Do members have issues with this? I think the forum works great as it is.

I think forums like this are a great place to just BS and "hang out" with people you know online or "in real life" and it doesn't really matter what the topic of conversation is. There are technical sections for posts of that nature.
We're all here because we share a common bond - the love of motorcycling. We can connect a bunch of soup cans with string across the country, and we'd still be discussing the same things. Even professional Moto GP riders talk about things besides racing.

There are areas for any subject here. So if someone prefers more bike talk there is a place for it, they just need to recruit other bike entusiasts to join so they can talk about what they like. More Members!!!!

I love this forum. It's a different type of forum, sure we talk about bikes, but we all have so many other things in common. This is the most user friendly and interactive site I have ever been a member of and I love it!

I enjoy this forum because you can post up anything and not have someone make fun of you for not talking about motorycles. There's a section for pretty much everything on this forum and it's awesome:yahoo::drinks:

absorutly. i have been on may a forum that take themselves way to flippin serious and i can't stand them. i hate the forums peopled by forum nazis, gear nazis and take it to the track nazis. can't stand the ones where you ask a real question and get flamed by the idiots who think they know more than god. some things may need to stay on topic but for the most part thread jacking is good and promotes a fun site. damitz, you guyz made me cum outta tard mode again. stop it.

lol good deal. I will preach gear a bit but i try to keep it to a min. except to get a good debate goin once in awhile. In the end I feel its each of our choice to protect ourselves or not yanno.

just meant i enjoy being able to ask questions about motorcycles and get answers and still be able to post things nonmotorcycle related and get responses.
I know absolutly nothing about motocycles, I barely know how to change the oil in mine. I'm slowly learning though. But it's nice to not feel like :beetard: for asking questions that are common knowledge to some people

This seems to have come up again. Does lack of motorcycle talk make you think the forum is crap? As I said before those who want more sportbike talk need to start some threads. I am quite happy with the forum as is. But it seems its an issue for some. So again we want to know what you think?

I think the totally random one- and two-syllable post whoring is a little excessive. But you have that on most any board and I know how to use the ignore feature so it doesn't bother me. Like you said, anyone who wants to talk more about bikes, start a thread. It's really not that complicated a thing to do.

Ok so u want more sportbike stuff...OK LIKE WHAT? and WHY dont YOU start a thread that interests you...ya know...even if you are new to the forum you can make a thread...dont have to be here a certain length of time in order to make a thread or post a reply.
Hell I like talking about bikes as much as anyone else but I have already made posts and threads on my opinions and ideas and thoughts. I reply to those new threads but yeah they been dwindling...
Aint our fault, we talk about bikes but well we need new thoughts and ideas to spur our own so that there is more talk again.
Cant just post BS posts like "wow that one bike is cool". It gets old.

We dont HAVE to talk about bikes 24/7, we all know that we are interested and know about bikes, should someone wanty to know something there are people on this forum and others as well that can help, a bike forum doesnt have to talk about bikes all the time.
Its a common interest we share and thats what makes the forum.

For all the boards i've been on the sportbike / motorcycle talk is less during the winter. People are more concerned with other things, the holidays...winter sports etc.
there are still people that ride this time of year in florida and such...but for a lot of us the season is over and we're just counting the days and making up topics to keep us busy until it's time to ride again.

If those people wanna talk about anything other than bikes they are free to.
Its about camaraderie. The forum is very active. And I don't feel the need to yell and scream at ppl to talk only about bikes. Whats the sense in that. Maybe thats why all those other bike forums suck or lack women. Women like to talk. We love having guys here but I don't think any girl no matter how much she likes to ride is gonna discuss it 24/7.
So if you think SBG needs more bike talk start some.We have a ton of thread and info. We have brought in vendors. INVITE people here. Alot of you forget or were not here back in august. We are only 3 months old.

Okay. The Postwhoring CONTEST was an idea we had to get people posting.
And it did. Yes it got a little out of hand but we were trying to get things going again. The staff here does the best job we can. Everyone likes to point out the bad things but they don't care to mention the good things. Like adopting a soldier. 3 people from the forum have messaged me about that.
We are trying as hard as we can to accomodate everyones needs. But realize we are NEW. We are doing our BEST. And we are not CSC ,SBN,TWF.ChicRiders, or any other forum! We are SBG and will run our forum accordingly as we see fit. We have rules and if they are broken then we follow our rules. We can't make exceptions for anyone.
We have has some staffing changes as of late and we are doing our best. Thats all we can do.
