I thought we could let the world know what a "Sportbike Gurl" is.
So everyone add something that you think will clarify what a girl who rides is.
I have seen alot of this lately as I surf around and It seems some guys think a girl belongs on the back of his bike. Like some kind of trophy. So I want to say:
GIRLS can RIDE too.
Just FYI
sometimes my excitement for girls coming to track days/stunt sessions have been interpretted as condesending.. i realise some guys are just penises with opinions like the above, but sometimes it may have been a misinterpretted message.
i genuinely encourage girls local 2 me to get out there and give trackdays/stunting a go.. falling off doesn't hurt that much ;)

My GF is amazing! She has her own bike. She has a 05 R1. And she can ride it with the best of guys. Heck she has been known to walk me into the ground on occasion. Sometimes i find myself being stuck behind her cuz she is doing so well on her bike.

Here is what IMO a sportbike gurl is:
She is a woman of infinite power and stability. She is limitless, timeless and classic. She is strong, she is pure of heart and she is a free spirit. A sportbike gurl shall not to be tamed by wind, fire, rain, snow, man or motorcycle. A sportbike gurl is the icon that women world-wide seek to be. Independent, tough and sweet all bundled up in the beautiful form that is SHE.

Additionally, I get smartass comments from guys regularly telling me I can't handle my R1, that I'll never ride it to it's potential...that is until I smoke em in the twisties. :)

This is what I've sent to any male rider friends that give me any grief over belonging on the back.
We are women who put no limits on ourselves. Adrenoline junkies. Addicts to the feeling of freedom while whipping down the road with no cage.
And for the record my husband has been on two wheels since he was 5(he is 36now) has had numerous street bikes. Currently has a HD Heritage and a Ninja, and he has told me more than once I am a better rider than him simply because I relax and handle the bike without constant worry and fear. I respect the bike and it's capabilities and ride to live not die.

As a chick who's been on the back seat many times..I can honestly say Im at my BREAKING POINT! It's like this....the SBG gurls that ride are 1.Hot, 2. Proud, and 3. RESPECTED.
My main problem is I'm sooo comfy on the back of TG's bike...I can light a fire fast enough to get my OWN! However, you will find I will say PULL OVER quite often and want to **** w/ the throttle time and time again.
It IS GURL power I tell ya! Straight up! And yes, my ass all our ASSES look extremely TEMPTING when were passing yours (the guys) up!! I cannot wait for the day to come. Err, although I will RESPECT the bike I choose, and in no way will I be a "stunta" until I have experience behind me! For all the chicks that already RIDE and even RACE...you are indeed MY HEROS!!!!:yahoo::drinks:

Finally 54, plus not raining. It's supposed to be raining and into the 30's by the end of the week :cray: Actually I store it here at work in my heated shop area so she doesn't get too cold LOL.

Well any ride better than none at all. It's been fairly sunny and mid 60's here both yesterday and today UNTIL quitting time then it gets dark, cold and rainy.

I've been riding for a long time, so being a woman on a motorcycle doesn't really mean much to me other than I'm a woman, and I love to ride. The two aren't really connected. I think women can do anything they set their minds to, and it's not really a big deal. Any shortcomings I have are related to my lack of natural talent, and anything I do well is b/c I'm good at it... I don't honestly think that either state is a result of my gender (though I do like to poke fun at the guys sometimes about women being naturally superior - I'm only playing around).
So, while I think it's great that more women are getting into motorcycling, I think the ultimate Sportbike Gurl is one who embraces the sport b/c she loves it and not b/c she can be a "chick on a bike".

Girls who ride are just like guys who ride.
Some know how, some just pose.
Some are stunters, some carve corners.
Some are squids, some are gear nazis.
The major difference is that y'all have girly parts, which make huggin' up on the tank way more comfortable (probably) and you have the possibility of looking infinitely hotter in leathers than any guy.
Girls who ride = hot!
