Dani Pedrosa took today at Phillip Island his third pole position of the season, which was his second in succession. Pedrosa set time of the 1:29.201, which was still around two tenths slower than pole position record set by his team-mate Hayden on 990cc bike and in much warmer conditions. Valentino Rossi was thrown to second spot on the grid by late charge from Pedrosa. Early pole setter, 2007.MotoGP champion Casey Stoner had to settle in 3rd today.
